Fluffy Light Scones

I wanted to try and make scones and I just did. I just baked the scones. I already tried a tiny piece and it’s delicious and light. I was thinking of nice bread that would go with my coffee or you can eat also as dessert. I thought of scones . Scones are very versatile, you can add berries, nuts or you can just put jam or drizzle a condense milk. I found the recipe on allrecipes.com but I changed the white sugar to brown.I personally prefer brown sugar.


3 cups all purpose flour 

1/2 cup white or brown sugar

5 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup cold butter

1 cup milk

1 egg,beaten

1.Preheat oven 400F.

2.Start with mixing all the dry ingredients flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.Cut in butter.Mix well. In a small bowl,mix milk and egg. Slowly stir into flour mixture until moistened.

3.Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface, and knead briefly.Roll dough out into a 1/2 inch thick round. Cut into wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake into preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
