White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hello everyone! It’s Monday again, I just put my chocolate chip cookies in the oven few minutes ago. My other half loves chocolate chip cookies and I love making food for him.😁  This recipe calls for Macadamia nuts but I didn’t put it since my other half is not big fan of macadamia.I substituted shortening for butter instead, I didn’t have shortening.


1 cup (250 ml ) shortening

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 package of pure chocolate chips (225g)

*1 cup macadamianuts


1.Preheat oven to 375F.Beat 1 cup of shortening with 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until fluffy.Beat in 2 eggs and 1 1/2 vanilla extract until creamy.

2. Stir 2 cups of all purpose flour with 1 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tsp salt in a separate bowl.Gradually beat into butter mixture.

3. Stir in 1 package of white chocolate chips and *1 cup of coarsely chopped macadamia nuts.Drop 1 tbsp portions dough onto ungreased bakimg sheets.

4.Bake for 8 to 12 minutes.Cool for 1 minute,transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.Makes 4 dozen cookies.
